RESUMO

Two Gram-stain-negative bacterial strains, R39T and R73T, were isolated from the rhizosphere soil of the selenium hyperaccumulator Cardamine hupingshanesis in China. Strain R39T transformed selenite into elemental and volatile selenium, whereas strain R73T transformed both selenate and selenite into elemental selenium. Phylogenetic and phylogenomic analyses indicated that strain R39T belonged to the genus Achromobacter, while strain R73T belonged to the genus Buttiauxella. Strain R39T (genome size, 6.68 Mb; G+C content, 61.6 mol%) showed the closest relationship to Achromobacter marplatensis LMG 26219T and Achromobacter kerstersii LMG 3441T, with average nucleotide identity (ANI) values of 83.6 and 83.4 %, respectively. Strain R73T (genome size, 5.22 Mb; G+C content, 50.3 mol%) was most closely related to Buttiauxella ferragutiae ATCC 51602T with an ANI value of 86.4 %. Furthermore, strain A111 from the GenBank database was found to cluster with strain R73T within the genus Buttiauxella through phylogenomic analyses. The ANI and digital DNA-DNA hybridization values between strains R73T and A111 were 97.5 and 80.0% respectively, indicating that they belong to the same species. Phenotypic characteristics also differentiated strain R39T and strain R73T from their closely related species. Based on the polyphasic analyses, strain R39T and strain R73T represent novel species of the genera Achromobacter and Buttiauxella, respectively, for which the names Achromobacter seleniivolatilans sp. nov. (type strain R39T=GDMCC 1.3843T=JCM 36009T) and Buttiauxella selenatireducens sp. nov. (type strain R73T=GDMCC 1.3636T=JCM 35850T) are proposed.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of high selenium on insulin signaling pathway PI3K-AKT-mTOR in L02 cells. METHODS: One group of L02 cell was treated with different concentrations of selenomethionine(SeMet, 0.001, 0.0025, 0.005, 0.0075, 0.01, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075 and 0.1µmol/L) for 48 h, then cultured with serum-free medium for 4 h and stimulated with 1 µmol/L insulin for 15 min. The insulin signaling pathway(PI3K-AKT-mTOR) was detected by WB. Another group of L02 cell was treated with the same concentrations of SeMet as above for 48 h. The cell supernatant and lysates were collected for the analysis of SELENOP and GPX1, respectively by WB. RESULTS: The expressions of P-AKT-(Ser-473), P-AKT-(Thr-308), PI3K and mTOR in L02 cells under high-Se were decreased with the increase of SeMet concentration. The expressions of GPX1 and SELENOP were enhanced with the increase of SeMet. CONCLUSION: The insulin signaling pathway, PI3K-AKT-mTOR, was damaged in L02 cell under high-Se stress.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Biogenic selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) show numerous advantages including their high stability, low toxicity, and high bioactivity. While metabolism of SeNPs remains not well studied and need more investigation to reveal the process. PURPOSE: The objective of the study was to investigate the relationship between nitrate reductase and selenite reduction in Rahnella aquatilis HX2, characterize the properties of HX2 produced SeNPs, and explore their potential applications, particularly their anticancer activity. PROCEDURES: Selenium species were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to inductively coupled plasma - Mass spectrometry (HPLC-ICP-MS). Transcription level of nitrate reductase was determined by Real-time quantitative PCR. Morphology, particle size, crystal structure and surface chemistry of SeNPs were determined by electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering method, Raman scattering, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, respectively. Anti cancer cell activity was measured by CCK-8 assay. MAIN FINDINGS: SeNP production in R. aquatilis HX2 was correlated with the cell growth. The products of selenite reduction in HX2 detected by HPLC-ICP-MS included SeNPs, selenocysteine (SeCys), Se-Methylselenocysteine (MeSeCys), and 7 unknown compounds. Nitrate addition experiments suggested the involvement of nitrate reductase in selenite reduction in HX2. Both the cellular membrane and cytoplasm of HX2 exhibited selenite-reducing ability, indicating that membrane-associated nitrate reductase was not the sole selenite reductase in HX2. Characterization of the biogenic SeNPs revealed a spherical morphology and amorphous structure of them. Surface chemistry analysis implicated the binding of extracellular polymeric substances to the biogenic SeNPs, and the presence of Se0, Se2-, and electron-rich Se atoms on the surface of SeNPs. Finally, the IC50 values of the biogenic SeNPs were 36.49 µM for HepG2 and 3.70 µM for HeLa cells. CONCLUSIONS: The study first revealed that the nitrate reductase is involving in selenite reduction in R. aquatilis HX2. The biogenic SeNPs coordinated with organic substances in the surface. And SeNPs produced by R. aquatilis HX2 showed excellent anticancer activities on HepG2 and HeLa cells.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: Dental health has been getting increased attention. Timely detection of non-normal teeth (caries, residual root, retainer, teeth filling, etc.) is of great importance for people's health, well-being, and quality of life. This work proposes a rapid detection of non-normal teeth based on improved Mask R-CNN, aiming to achieve comprehensive screening of non-normal teeth on dental X-ray images. METHODS: An improved Mask R-CNN based on attention mechanism was used to develop a non-normal teeth detection method trained on a high-quality annotated dataset, which can segment the whole mask of each non-normal tooth on the dental X-ray image immediately. RESULTS: The average precision (AP) of the proposed non-normal teeth detection was 0.795 with an intersection-over-union of 0.5 and max detections (maxDets) of 32, which was higher than that of the typical Mask R-CNN method (AP = 0.750). In addition, validation experiments showed that the evaluation metrics (AP, recall, precision-recall (P-R) curve) of the proposed method were superior to those of the Mask R-CNN method. Furthermore, the experimental results indicated that proposed method exhibited a high sensitivity (95.65%) in detecting secondary caries. The proposed method took about 0.12 s to segment non-normal teeth on one dental X-ray image using the laptop (8G memory, NVIDIA RTX 3060 graphics processing unit), which was much faster than conventional manual methods. CONCLUSION: The proposed method enhances the accuracy and efficiency of abnormal tooth diagnosis for practitioners, while also facilitating early detection and treatment of dental caries to substantially lower patient costs. Additionally, it can enable rapid and objective evaluation of student performance in dental examinations.

RESUMO

Two Gram-stain-negative, facultative anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterial strains, S171T and S2-9, were isolated from seleniferous soil in China. Comprehensive phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA genes, multilocus sequences and whole genome sequences indicated that the two strains belonged to the genus Citrobacter. The average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values of strains S171T and S2-9 with the closest relative Citrobacter koseri NCTC 10786T were 83.6-83.7% and 27.7-27.8 %, respectively, which were below the species cutoff values. The ANI and dDDH values between the two strains were 97.9% and 84.8 %, respectively. The biochemical characteristics revealed that selenite tolerance, H2S and indole production, arginine dihydrolase, ornithine decarboxylase, as well as acid production from carbon sources such as d-sorbitol and arbutin are distinctive features of the two strains. Based on these results, strain S171T and strain S2-9 represent a novel species of the genus Citrobacter, for which the name Citrobacter enshiensis sp. nov. is proposed, with strain S171T (=GDMCC 1.3637T=JCM 35851T) as the type strain. The genome size of strain S171T was 4.92 Mb with a G+C content of 52.6 mol%. The genome size of strain S2-9 was 4.89 Mb with a G+C content of 52.6 mol%.

RESUMO

The purpose of this study is to explore the glycolytic remodeling under high-selenium (Se) stress. Three groups of male C57BL/6J mice were fed on diets with different Se contents (0.03, 0.15, and 0.30 mg Se/kg). Glucose tolerance test (GTT) and insulin tolerance test (ITT) were measured at the third month. Mice were killed at the fourth month. Plasma, liver, and muscle tissues were fetched for biochemistry and Se analysis. The expressions of insulin signaling pathway (PI3K-AKT-mTOR), glutathione peroxidase 1 (GPX1), selenoprotein N (SELENON), 3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH), serine hydroxymethyltransferases 1 (SHMT1), 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR), and methionine synthase (MS) were analyzed by western blotting (WB) in liver and muscle tissues. The results of GTT and ITT showed that glucose tolerance and insulin tolerance were both abnormal in the 0.03 mg Se/kg and 0.3 mg Se/kg groups. Se concentrations in plasma, liver, and muscle of 0.03 mg Se/kg group were significantly lower than that of 0.15 mg Se/kg and 0.30 mg Se/kg groups (p < 0.05 or p < 0.01). The expressions of P-Akt (Thr-308) in muscle (p < 0.05) and PI3K and mTOR in liver (p < 0.001) of 0.30 mg Se/kg group were downregulated. The expressions of GPX1 in liver and muscle (p < 0.05 and p < 0.001), SELENON in muscle (p < 0.05), PHGDH in liver and muscle (p < 0.05), and SHMT1 (p < 0.05), MTHFR (p < 0.001), and MS (p < 0.001) in muscle of 0.3 mg Se/kg group were upregulated. The de novo serine synthesis pathway (SSP) was found to be activated in liver and muscle tissues of mice with a high-Se diet for the first time.

RESUMO

Microorganisms play a critical role in the biogeochemical cycling of selenium, often reducing selenite/selenate to elemental selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs). These SeNPs typically exist in an amorphous structure but can transform into a trigonal allotrope. However, the crystal structural transition process and its impact on selenium bioavailability have not been well studied. To shed light on this, we prepared chemosynthetic and biogenic SeNPs and investigated the stability of their crystal structure. We found that biogenic SeNPs exhibited a highly stable amorphous structure in various conditions, such as lyophilization, washing, and laser irradiation, whereas chemosynthetic SeNPs transformed into a trigonal structure in the same conditions. Additionally, a core-shell structure was observed in biogenic SeNPs after electron beam irradiation. Further analysis revealed that biogenic SeNPs showed a coordination reaction between Se atoms and surface binding biomacromolecules, indicating that the outer layer of Se-biomacromolecules complex prevented the SeNPs from crystallizing. We also investigated the effects of SeNPs crystal structures on the bioavailability in bacteria, yeast, and plants, finding that the amorphous structure of SeNPs determined Se bioavailability.

RESUMO

This study aimed to explore the impact of co-inoculating phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (PSB) and phosphate accumulating bacteria (PAB) on phosphorus forms transformation, microbial biomass phosphorus (MBP) and polyphosphate (Poly-P) accumulation, bacterial community composition in composting, using high throughput sequencing, PICRUSt 2, network analysis, structural equation model (SEM) and random forest (RF) analysis. The results demonstrated PSB-PAB co-inoculation (T1) reduced Olsen-P content (1.4 g) but had higher levels of MBP (74.2 mg/kg) and Poly-P (419 A.U.) compared to PSB-only (T0). The mantel test revealed a significantly positive correlation between bacterial diversity and both bioavailable P and MBP. Halocella was identified as a key genus related to Poly-P synthesis by network analysis. SEM and RF analysis showed that pH and bacterial community had the most influence on Poly-P synthesis, and PICRUSt 2 analysis revealed inoculation of PAB increased ppk gene abundance in T1. Thus, PSB-PAB co-inoculation provides a new idea for phosphorus management.

RESUMO

Digital twin represents the core technology to realize the dynamic monitoring of complex industrial systems. However, the human body, as the most complex system in the physical world, digital twin is rarely applied in it. In this study, we successfully demonstrated a digital twin in the human biomedical application by proposing a dynamic monitoring system of the upper limb force. In this system, the real upper limb drives the motion of the virtual one in real-time and dynamically updates the force. Meanwhile, the virtual upper limb feeds back the monitoring-results of the force to the controller of the real upper limb via immersive virtual reality interaction. Experimental results of the typical motions of the upper limb revealed that the proposed system functioned interactively in real-time in a non-invasive manner, while ensuring the accurate solving of the muscle force. In conclusion, our digital twin-driven system is of great importance for rehabilitation medicine, biomechanical scientific research and physical training, promoting the application of the digital twin in the human biomedical field.

RESUMO

Cordycepin, a nucleoside analog, is the main antioxidative and antimicrobial substance in Cordyceps militaris. To improve the metabolism of cordycepin, carbon sources, nitrogen sources, trace elements, and precursors were studied by single factor, Plackett-Burman, and central composite designs in C. militaris mycelial fermentation. Under the regulation of the multifactorial interactions of selenite, ferrous chloride, xylose, and glycine, cordycepin production was increased by 5.2-fold compared with the control. The gene expression of hexokinase, ATP phosphoribosyltransferase, adenylosuccinate synthetase, and cns1-3 in the glycolysis, pentose phosphate, and adenosine synthesis pathways were increased by 3.2-7.5 times due to multifactorial interactions, while the gene expression of histidine biosynthesis trifunctional protein and histidinol-phosphate aminotransferase in histidine synthesis pathway were decreased by 23.4%-56.2%. Increasing with cordycepin production, glucose uptake was accelerated, mycelia growth was inhibited, and the cell wall was damaged. Selenomethionine (SeMet), selenocysteine (SeCys), and selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) were the major Se species in C. militaris mycelia. This study provides a new insight for promoting cordycepin production by regulating glycolysis, pentose phosphate, and histidine metabolism. KEY POINTS: • Cordycepin production in the CCDmax group was 5.2-fold than that of the control. • Glucose uptake of the CCDmax group was accelerated and cell wall was damaged. • The metabolic flux was concentrated to the cordycepin synthesis pathway.

RESUMO

Polystyrene microplastics (PSMPs) are some of the most common microplastic components, and the resulting pollution has become a global problem. Extensive studies have been conducted on the toxic effects of PSMPs on the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, nerves, intestines and other tissues. However, the impact of PSMPs on vascular toxicity is poorly understood at present. The aim of this study was to reveal the vascular toxicity of microplastics (MPs). Patients were assigned to a calcification group (25 patients) or a non-calcification group (22 patients) based on the presence or absence of calcification in the thoracic aorta wall. We detected 7 polymer types in human feces. Patients with vascular calcification (VC) had higher levels of total MPs, polypropylene (PP) and polystyrene (PS) in feces than patients without VC. The thoracic aortic calcification score was significantly positively correlated with the total MP abundance (Spearman r = 0.8109, p < 0.0001), PP (Spearman r = 0.7211, p = 0.0160) and PS (Spearman r = 0.6523, p = 0.0471) in feces. We then explored the effects of PSMP exposure on normal and vitamin D3 + nicotine (VDN)-treated rats. PSMP exposure induced mild VC in normal rats and aggravated VC in VDN-treated rats. PSMP exposure disturbed the gut microbiota, causing Proteobacteria and Escherichia_Shigella to be the dominant phylum and genus, respectively. It also induced intestinal inflammatory responses in normal rats, aggravated intestinal inflammation in VDN-treated rats, impaired the intestinal mucosal barrier, and increased intestinal permeability. This study provides a theoretical basis for the risk assessment of MP-induced cardiovascular disease.

RESUMO

Gray mold is a destructive plant disease caused by a fungal pathogen Botrytis cinerea. The use of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) has proven to be a promising method to control this disease. Bacillus velezensis K01 was isolated from the rhizosphere of planting tomatoes. Strain K01 has a range of roles, including the ability to solubilize phytate phosphorus, stimulate resistant response, and produce indoleacetic acid (IAA), protease, cellulase, and antimicrobial substances. Strain K01 was found to inhibit 12 phytopathogenic fungi and 5 phytopathogenic bacteria. Specially, strain K01 demonstrated a biocontrol efficiency of over 78% against gray mold caused by B. cinerea on the leaves and fruits of tomato and pepper. Additionally, K01 was found to promote the growth of maize seedlings. Further genomic analysis revealed that K01 belongs to B. velezensis, which is consistent with phylogenetic analysis, average nucleotide polymorphism (ANI), and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH). The genome of strain K01 had a size of 3,927,799 bp and deduced 3866 predicted genes, with an average guanine-cytosine (GC) content of 46.5%. Based on the analyses of genomic secondary metabolites, over 18.4% of the genome was annotated to 12 gene clusters related to antimicrobial metabolite synthesis. Additionally, genome annotation and comparative genomics identified several genes associated with plant growth promotion and environmental adaption. These findings suggest that B. velezensis K01 has the potential to serve as a new biocontrol agent for management of gray mold on tomato and pepper.

RESUMO

Microbial transformation of selenite [Se(IV)] to elemental selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) is known to be an important process for removing toxic soluble selenium (Se) oxyanions and recovery of Se from the environment as valuable nanoparticles. However, the mechanism of selenite uptake by microorganisms, the first step through which Se exerts its cellular function, remains not well studied. In this study, the effects of selenite concentration, time, pH, metabolic inhibitors, and anionic analogues on selenite uptake in Rahnella aquatilis HX2 were investigated. Selenite uptake by R. aquatilis HX2 was concentration- and time-dependent, and its transport activity was significantly dependent on pH. In addition, selenite uptake in R. aquatilis HX2 was significantly inhibited by the aquaporin inhibitor AgNO3 and sulfite (SO32-), and partially inhibited by carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenyl hydrazone (CCCP) and 2,4-dinitrophenol (2,4-DNP) treatments. Three mutants with in-frame deletions of aqpZ, glpF, and nhaA genes were constructed. The transport assay showed that the water channel protein AqpZ, and not GlpF, was a key channel of selenite uptake by R. aquatilis HX2, and sulfite and selenite had a common uptake pathway. In addition, the Na+/H+ antiporter NhaA is also involved in selenite uptake in R. aquatilis HX2.

RESUMO

AIMS: Rahnella aquatilis HX2, a promising plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR) in the field, contains genes homologous to the PhoP/PhoQ two-component regulatory system. Although this system regulates stress response in numerous pathogens, PhoP/PhoQ characterization in a PGPR has not received in-depth exploration. METHODS AND RESULTS: The phoQ gene was mutated in strain HX2 using an in-frame deletion strategy. Compared to the wild type, the phoQ mutant exhibited increased sensitivity to acidic conditions (pH 4.0) in a chemically defined medium and in mild acidic natural soil (pH 5.7). The phoQ mutant also exhibited increased swimming motility under acidic conditions. Acid resistance was restored in the mutant by introducing the phoQ gene on a plasmid. Three acid resistance genes, add, cfa, and fur were downregulated significantly, whereas the chaperone encoding gene, dnak, was upregulated when the phoQ mutant was exposed to acid stress. CONCLUSIONS: This study suggested that the PhoP/PhoQ system positively regulates the acid resistance of R. aquatilis HX2.

RESUMO

White mold of sunflower caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum is a devastating disease that causes serious yield losses. Selenium (Se) helps plants resist stress. In this study, the resistance of sunflower to S. sclerotiorum was improved after foliar application of selenite. Selenite sprayed on leaves can be absorbed by sunflowers and transformed to selenomethionine. Consequently, sunflowers treated with Se exhibited a delay in lesion development with decrease by 54% compared to mock inoculation at 36-h post inoculation (hpi). In addition, treatment with Se compromised the adverse effects caused by S. sclerotiorum infection by balancing the regulation of genes involved in redox homeostasis. In particular, cat expression on leaves treated with Se increased to 2.5-fold to alleviate the downregulation caused by S. sclerotiorum infection at 12 hpi. Additionally, apx expression on leaves treated with Se decreased by 36% to alleviate the upregulation caused by S. sclerotiorum infection at 24 hpi, whereas expressions of gpx, pox, and nox on leaves treated with Se also successively decreased by approximately 40-60% to alleviate the upregulation caused by S. sclerotiorum infection at 24 and 36 hpi, respectively. The use of Se also enhanced the regulation of genes involved in hormones signaling pathways, in which expressions of AOC and PAL increased to 2.0- and 1.5-fold, respectively, to enhance the upregulation caused by S. sclerotiorum infection at 12 hpi, whereas expressions of AOC and PDF1.2 increased to 2.7- and 1.8-fold at 24 hpi, respectively. In addition, EIN2 expression on leaves treated with Se increased to 1.8-, 2.0-, and 1.5-fold to alleviate the downregulation caused by S. sclerotiorum infection. These results suggest that Se can improve sunflower defense responses against S. sclerotiorum infection aiming a sustainable white mold management.

RESUMO

Microorganisms play a critical role in the reduction of the more toxic selenite and selenate to the less toxic elemental selenium. However, the assembly process and stability of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) remain understudied. The plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium Rahnella aquatilis HX2 can reduce selenite to biogenic SeNPs (BioSeNPs). Two main proteins, namely flagellin FliC and porin OmpF were identified in the BioSeNPs. The fliC and ompF gene mutation experiments demonstrated that the FliC and OmpF could control the assembly of BioSeNPs in vivo. At the same time, the expressed and purified FliC and OmpF could control the assembly of SeNPs in vitro. BioSeNPs produced by R. aquatilis HX2 exhibited high stability under various ionic strengths, while the chemically synthesized SeNPs (CheSeNPs) showed a high level of aggregation. The in vitro experiments verified that FliC and OmpF could prevent the aggregation of the CheSeNPs under various ionic strengths. This work reports the preparation of highly stable BioSeNPs produced by strain R. aquatilis HX2 and verifies that FliC and OmpF both could control the assembly and stability of BioSeNPs. BioSeNPs with high stability could be suitable as nutritional supplement to remedy selenium deficiency and in nanomedicine applications.

RESUMO

Acute detection and high-resolution imaging of microRNAs (miRNAs) in living cancer cells have attracted great attention in clinical diagnosis and therapy. However, current methods suffer from low detection sensitivity or heavy dependence on expensive and sophisticated spectrometers. Herein, a novel algorithm-assisted system of detecting and imaging miRNAs in living cancer cells was developed via the disassembly of plasmonic core-satellite probes coupled with strand displacement amplification (SDA). The target miRNAs in the system could trigger the disassembly of plasmonic core-satellite probes, leading to the color change in the scattering light of the probes, which could be captured by dark-field microscopy (DFM). The concentration of the target miRNAs was obtained by analyzing the dark-field image based on the proposed algorithm with a detection limit of 2 pM for miRNA-21. Thus, the performance in terms of simplicity and sensitivity of the system compared with one of the conventional spectrophotometers was well presented, which could inspire more clinical applications of inexpensive, intelligent, and rapid screening of cancer cells. The application software based on the proposed algorithm running on the Android platform was also developed, demonstrating the potential of remote diagnosis.

RESUMO

Dietary consumption of selenium-rich agro-food is an effective way to avoid selenium deficiency diseases, however, over consumption of selenium-rich agro-food will result in potential risk of selenosis and problems with associated metals. In this study, we measured the concentrations of selenium and its associated metals in 2756 common and 4894 selenium-rich agro-food samples in 10 regions of China. We found that selenium-rich rice, flour, edible fungi and algae, meat, and tea contain higher levels of associated metals than other selenium-rich agro-food samples. Increasing the consumption of selenium-rich agro-food could make the actual intakes (AIs) of selenium for all population to meet respective recommended daily intakes (RDIs). Benefit-risk assessment results indicated that increasing the consumption of selenium-rich agro-food make AIs of selenium for all populations meet RDIs, chromium intakes for people under 18 years old exceed provisional tolerated daily intake (PTDIs), while arsenic and cadmium intakes are close to PTDIs. The main dietary contributors of selenium, chromium, arsenic and cadmium were meat, edible fungi and algae, rice, and rice, respectively. The study supported the consumption of selenium-rich agro-food for effective selenium supplement, but also emphasized potential risk from associated metals in selenium-rich agro-food, especially chromium.

RESUMO

Rail surface scratching occurs with increasing frequency, seriously threatening the safety of vehicles and humans. Online repair of rail-surface scratches on damaged rails with scratch depths >1 mm is of increased importance, because direct rail-replacement has the disadvantages of long operation time, high manpower and high material costs. Advanced online repair of rail-surface scratch using three-dimensional (3D) metal printing technology such as laser cladding has become an increasing trend, desperately demanding a solution for the fast and precise establishment of a complete closed mesh model of rail-surface scratch data. However, there have only been limited studies on the topic so far. In this paper, the complete closed mesh model is well established based on a novel triangulation algorithm relying on the topological features of the point-cloud model (PCM) of scratch-data, which is obtained by implementing a scratch-data-computation process following a rail-geometric-feature-fused algorithm of random sample consensus (RANSAC) performed on the full rail-surface PCM constructed by 3D laser vision. The proposed method is universal for all types of normal-speed rails in China. Experimental results show that the proposed method can accurately acquire the complete closed mesh models of scratch data of one meter of 50 Kg/m-rails within 1 min.

RESUMO

In this study, 41 common rice varieties and 211 selenium-rich rice varieties from ten representative areas in China were collected in 2017-2019. The selenium contents of rice were analyzed with optimized inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Selenium concentrations of common rice and selenium-rich rice ranges were 0.81-7.26 and 0.76-180.73 µg/100 g, respectively. The selenium contents in selenium-rich rice from different areas were significantly different (p < 0.001) while those in common rice from different areas were not. The selenium-rich rice in Harbin and Keshan showed the lowest selenium level and those from selenium-rich areas (Enshi and Ankang) were highest. Based on the estimation of the risk assessment software @risk7.0 (Palisade Corporation, New York, NY, USA), the consumption of selenium-rich rice can effectively increase dietary selenium intake for the population. However, the risk index of P95 (Percentile 95) selenium exposure at the tolerable upper intake level for children at 2-14 years old exceeded 100%, with potential risk currently. Therefore, the consumption of selenium-rich rice should be properly monitored for young children and adolescents.
